I drilled straight through the door and put a nut on the back over some metal thing i found in one of my many old coffee cans o crap.
I probably should have given my boss some warning of the incoming blizzard of concerns but you k now, since there is no HR.... or anyone else in the office or method of scheduling meetings, thats just how it goes.
here i s what i threw at him:
replacing part time work at home help with a full time employee
getting into a variety of project types (we pretty much only do multi-family)
helping to get work
fixing my salary (when i got my W2 for taxes it showed I was shorted about $3k)
getting a raise.
ugh what a day.

Brilliant solution to a problem I see daily: "I remodeled my bathroom but forgot I don't have anywhere to put one towel bar, let alone two."

Well, that was a s**tstorm of a post.
Are those towel racks in your home? Great plan how you mounted them.
What kind of work do you do?

Well, repairing those towel racks is more than any architect I’ve ever known could do. ;o)

I would imagine the half I repaired would possible hold 1, but the other half is still just a couple screws so that side would probably pull out

I’m sure that makes you a much better architect.
Architecture is a weird thing because the buildings, the
spaces
, become occupied by humans, so there’s a sort of organic vibe to the work. So in a sense, the architect does not own what she creates. My home has a 500 sq foot addition that I designed myself and I am very happy with it. By “design,” I mean, I said what I wanted and got exactly that. The religion I subscribe to has a lot of stunning architecture. I know what I like, and I know what I don’t like. A building either works for me or it does not and in either case,
I’d be hard pressed to tell you why and not be vague about it.

what religion is it? Pretty much all the religions have some pretty impressive architecture. when I was in Paris with my wife (then girlfriend) I wanted to go to Notre Dame. She said I i wante d to go look at a church I could but I would be on my own,. We actually stumbled across it on our way somewhere else, it was large and she decided it was worth a look. Her jaw dropped once we made it inside. She was so impressed she wanted to see another which led us to St Chapelle. While not as large, this was by far more beautiful.
At this point i’ve designed about 10 houses for myself, unfortunately i havn’ t had the money to build any of them.

Religion is one thing I don’t discuss here. Drop me a line if you like, oliphant.chuckerbutty@gmail.com .
My favorite cathedral crawl was Sacre Coeur in Paris where the trip to the top let us through the cle
re
story. That was really neat.

yea, i’m not gunna judge you, maybe without naming the religion, you can pick a temple/church/mudhut/spaceship that has a particular architectural appeal to you.
Sacre Coeur was the next cathedral I wante d to go to but we ran out of time.

Oh, I wasn’t worried about you judging me; quite the opposite.
It’s just a thing I’d rather keep out of this particular social media space. If we were offline, I wouldn’t mind talking all day with you about it. I mean, I
love
it here and love the people and feel very safe, but still, it’s a question of reverence.
